You can support KSA…

Leave a gift in your will

Once you have looked after your family and friends, a gift in your will is a lasting way to support King Street Artworks. Gifts of any size help keep the studio open and creativity within reach of our community for years to come. You don’t need to be wealthy to leave a gift, and it doesn’t affect your finances during your lifetime.

Ways to leave a gift

A share of your estate: a percentage of what remains after your other gifts and costs. Because it’s a share, its value keeps pace with the size of your estate.
A set amount: a specific sum of money.
A specific item: for example property, artwork or shares.

How to include us

1. Talk to your lawyer or trustee company about making a will, or updating the one you have.
2. Decide which type of gift suits you.
3. Give your lawyer our details: King Street Artworks Incorporated, registered charity number CC24309, 16 Queen Street, Masterton 5810, New Zealand. [Board to check these details]
4. If you already have a will, your lawyer can add your gift with a short addition called a codicil (a short, separate legal document that adds to or changes an existing will, without the need to rewrite the whole will. You don’t need to start again.
5. Let your family know your wishes. You are welcome to tell us too, but you don’t have to, and we will respect your privacy.

Suggested wording for your lawyer

“I give [a percentage of the residue of my estate / the sum of $ / a description of the item] to King Street Artworks Incorporated, registered charity number CC24309, of 16 Queen Street, Masterton 5810, New Zealand, for its general purposes. The receipt of its treasurer or other proper officer will be a full discharge to my executors.”
